From January 1974 to August 1977, Brian was employed
with United Dominions Investments Ltd. Brian's primary responsibility
was management of the Mortgage Department under the direction of the
Vice-President of the company. In August 1977, Brian joined the City
of Edmonton as an appraiser in the Assessment Department.
His duties included defending assessments before the Court of Revision and
the Assessment Appeal Board.
Brian became a principal in Weisgerber Frost Appraisals
and remained in that role until July 1, 1988 when Frost & Associates was
established. Since 1977, Brian has been actively involved in the analysis
of all types of real estate.
Brian currently holds the AACI (Accredited Appraiser
Canadian Institute) and P. App (Professional Appraiser) designations.
He has appeared before the Assessment Review Board, Municipal Government
Board, Surface Rights Board, as well as the Court of Queen's Bench
as an expert witness.
Douglas M. Slavik
B.A., AACI, P. App
After graduating from University of Alberta with
a BA in 1992, Doug began his real estate appraisal career as a residential
appraiser. In 1995, Doug started appraising commercial real estate.
Since joining the firm of Frost & Associates in
2001, Doug has been actively involved in valuing commercial real estate
as a fee appraiser. In 2002, Doug obtained the AACI and the P. App
designations, and in 2004 became a partner at Frost & Associates.
As a fee appraiser, Doug has completed reports for
mortgage financing, feasibility analysis, foreclosure, sales/purchase,
and insurance purposes. Over the years, Doug has been involved in appraising
various types of commercial properties
including accommodation properties, churches, retail complexes, multi-family
apartments, office buildings, industrial warehouses, land subdivisions,
and other types of real estate investment properties.
Dwayne Meadows
CRA
Dwayne has been directly involved in the real estate
appraisal industry since 1975. Prior to entering the fee appraisal
business, he was employed by a National Trust Company for seven years
where he
worked in the mortgage lending area.
Dwayne has extensive experience in all areas
of residential appraisals including mortgage financing, litigation
(foreclosures, divorces, etc.) and relocation guarantees. In 1982,
he obtained the CRA (Canadian Residential Appraiser) designation that
is awarded by the Appraisal Institute of Canada. Dwayne has been an
active partner with Frost & Associates since
1989.
Jim Robertson
CRA
Jim is a member in good standing with the Appraisal
Institute of Canada and has been awarded use of the CRA (Canadian Residential
Appraiser) designation. Jim's real estate education includes graduation
from Lakeland College with a major in Real Estate Appraisal and Assessment.
Since joining the firm of Frost & Associates in
1991, Jim has been actively involved in the valuation of many types
of real estate including single-family dwellings, farms, duplexes,
fourplexes, condominiums and acreages. He has also gained experience
involving a variety of commercial and industrial projects. Before joining Frost & Associates,
Jim was a fee appraiser with another Edmonton appraisal firm with whom
he was associated with since 1987.
Grant Gengenbach
CRA
Grant graduated from Trinity Western University with
a BA in 1991. In 1995, he entered the residential appraisal field with
a local residential appraisal firm in Edmonton.
In 2004, Grant became a partner with Frost & Associates.
Grant holds the designation of Canadian Residential Appraiser (CRA).
Grant's area of expertise is in evaluation of single family dwellings,
condominiums, acreages, new construction, mobile homes, duplexes, and
other residential properties.
Dawn Kirkconnell
CRA
Dawn entered the Real Estate Appraisal field in 1988 with a local appraisal firm. In 1995, she was awarded use of the CRA (Canadian Residential Appraiser) designation. Since that time, Dawn operated her own appraisal business before joining Frost & Associates in 2004. Dawn became a partner with Frost & Associates in 2006.
Dawn has extensive experience in all types of residential appraisals including single family dwellings, condominiums, acreages, relocation appraisals, duplexes, fourplexes and new home construction.
